Here’s another HUGE …
Here’s another HUGE energy saver… If you have an electric drip coffee maker turn it off after the coffee is made and transfer the coffee to a hot pot. Coffee makers use 1,000 watts (yes..1KW) every hour they are on. Mine was on 4 hours/day 7 days a week for an astounding 120,000 watts (120 KW) a month until I realized how much power it was using.

Kilowatt meters. Everybody should have one.
If the Government or Local authority supplied one to school children and demonstrated how to safely use it. Children could then demontrate it to parents and show them how to save energy at home and save the planet.
